Announcement – Launching Albanian School

Dear Fellow Albanians,

We are honored to announce the launching of the first free of charge online education platform for all Albanians wherever they are located, the Albanian School – Illyria https://shkollashqipe.org.

Albanian School – Illyria focuses on the teaching of Albanian Language and Culture, foreign languages, cutting- edge leadership, management, entrepreneurship, and other skills. This will help Albanians in their homeland and diaspora to preserve their language, national identity, culture and roots, and motivated professionals to improve and pursue opportunities in a variety of sectors.

Albanian School – Illyria offers the following programs:

The Elementary School curriculum is based on the curriculum for learning Albanian Language and Culture in diaspora developed by the governments of the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Kosova.

Foreign Languages Program provides an opportunity for students to learn a new language, prepare them to study abroad, and increase their competitive edge in the job markets.

Our leadership, management, and entrepreneurship programs are specifically designed to blend focused knowledge with practical skills-based experiences that our students can leverage as they prepare for the challenges and opportunities found in today’s competitive market. These programs include leadership and other frameworks developed and taught in some of the top academic institutions in the world such as Harvard, MIT, and other universities.

Beneficiaries of Albanian School – Illyria Programs are:

Elementary School – Young Albanians age 6 to 16 who don’t have access to Albanian Schools.
Center for Foreign Languages – Albanians age 6 and older.
Institute for Leadership and Management – Albanians age 16 and older.
Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation – Albanians age 16 and older.

Registration is currently open for the following programs:

Elementary School – Three levels. 20 pupils per level. (Duration – Full semester courses)
Center for Foreign Languages – English as a Secondary Language Course. 30 students. (Duration – Full semester course)
Institute for Leadership & Management – Leadership Course. 30 students. (Duration – Full semester course)
Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation – Entrepreneurship and Innovation; Business Planning; Accounting and Finance; Pitch your business idea; Marketing and Sales, and Fund your Startup Workshops. 50 students per workshop. (Duration – Two hours per workshop)
- Business startup idea 5 business startup ideas. (Duration – Full semester program)

Certificates of Completion are issued upon completion of the programs.

The application deadline is August 15, 2020.

All programs at the Albanian School – Illyria are free of charge, however, donations of any amount are welcome and will help our school to continue to offer these programs for free.

The Albanian School – Illyria is an independent and not-for-profit organization.
We have submitted the application for 501(c)(3) Status with IRS and awaiting approval.
